							Bianca Schuchardt works as aeronautical research engineer at the DLR Institute of Flight 
Guidance in Braunschweig, Germany, and has been engaged in advanced air mobility 
(AAM) research since 2011. 
She started with the investigation of flight mechanics and handling qualities of 
helicopters and vertical take-off AAM vehicles. In 2019 she changed her research focus 
towards the investigation of flight guidance concepts for AAM. 
She has been involved in national and European research projects. Bianca Schuchardt is 
also responsible for coordinating the international expert groups for AAM at IFAR 
(International Forum for Aviation Research) and EREA (Association of European Research 
Establishments in Aeronautics) and is serving as advisor for the AAM Study Group at 
ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). 
Bianca Schuchardt received a diploma and a doctoral degree in aeronautical engineering 
from the Technical University of Braunschweig. For her dissertation she was awarded 
with a Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship in 2013.
