Bianca Isabella Schuchardt

Advanced Air Mobility International Coordinator

Bianca Schuchardt works as aeronautical research engineer at the DLR Institute of Flight
Guidance in Braunschweig, Germany, and has been engaged in advanced air mobility
(AAM) research since 2011.
She started with the investigation of flight mechanics and handling qualities of
helicopters and vertical take-off AAM vehicles. In 2019 she changed her research focus
towards the investigation of flight guidance concepts for AAM.
She has been involved in national and European research projects. Bianca Schuchardt is
also responsible for coordinating the international expert groups for AAM at IFAR
(International Forum for Aviation Research) and EREA (Association of European Research
Establishments in Aeronautics) and is serving as advisor for the AAM Study Group at
ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
Bianca Schuchardt received a diploma and a doctoral degree in aeronautical engineering
from the Technical University of Braunschweig. For her dissertation she was awarded
with a Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship in 2013.

Dirk Kuegler is the Director of the Institute of Flight Guidance at DLR German Aerospace
Center in Braunschweig since 2008 as well as a full professor (W3) for air traffic
management (ATM) at the Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, Germany.
His personal area of interest is the future design and automation of the ATM system
(on-ground and on-board) as well as CNS technology. He is also focusing on airborne
collision avoidance and future surveillance technologies as well as navigation
applications.
Dirk Kuegler received a doctorate degree (Dr.-Ing.) and a diploma degree as Diplom-
Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) in electrical engineering, communication, data and high-frequency
engineering from Technische Universitaet Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig), Germany.
He has been 10 years with DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (German Air Navigation
Service Provider), Langen, Germany as Director of the Business Unit Consulting and in
his last position as Director of the Technical Coordination and Planning Division.
In 2005 and 2006 he has been DFS Liaison Officer at FAA-HQ in Washington DC, USA.
He has also been visiting lecturer at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in
Singapore from 2015 to 2018 (“The Fundamentals of Air Traffic Control“).
Dirk Kuegler is a member of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking Governing Board and a
fellow (FRIN) to the UK Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN).

In her current role as deputy director of international development, Joyce is leading Groupe ADP's efforts in unlocking potential growth opportunities with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, while ensuring the services portfolio growth and roll-out. Oliver Reinhardt combines aviation with automotive background to manage all Certification, Safety, and Compliance Management Aspects at Volocopter. In addition, he is coordinating the development of the Volocopter Air Operations Ecosystem together with Maintenance Organization, Crew Training and Airspace Intergration.

During his career, Oliver has played an instrumental role in more than 9 aircraft certification projects throughout the past 28 years, certifying and delivering aircraft to 42 countries world-wide. He has been member of the European Commissions 'Drone Leaders' Group drafting the Drone Strategy 2.0, as well as of various FAA and EASA Rulemaking groups dealing with CS-23, Part-21 and operations of UAS for UAM.
Oliver co-chairs the EUROCAE WG-112 on VTOL-Aircraft Aircarft, co-chairs the GAMA Elcetric Propulsion and Innovation Committee (EPIC), and is active in multiple industry Standard Committees of EUROCAE and ASTM.
